Our Parish Story of Discipleship
Since 1888, St. Michael Parish has been a community of disciples answering Christ’s call to “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
What began as a small mission church built by pioneering Catholic families has grown into a vibrant faith community rooted in worship, stewardship, faith formation, and service. Through generations of change, challenge, and growth, the people of St. Michael have remained faithful to the mission of proclaiming the Gospel and forming disciples of Jesus Christ.
From the early settlers who gathered in a humble log church, to the families who built our school, church, parish center, and ministries, each generation has passed on the gift of faith to the next. Guided by the Holy Spirit and strengthened by the Eucharist, our parish has continually adapted to meet the needs of the times while remaining firmly rooted in Christ.
Today, St. Michael Parish continues this mission by inviting people to encounter Jesus, grow in discipleship, and serve others with love. Through vibrant worship, lifelong faith formation, Catholic education, outreach ministries, and community service, we seek to form missionary disciples who bring Christ into their homes, workplaces, schools, and communities.
As we honor the faithful disciples who came before us, we look to the future with hope, committed to building a parish where all are welcomed, formed, and sent forth to share the Good News.
For more than 150 years, St. Michael Parish has been making disciples.
